Comment/Question:
> I have a 1996 Silverton 312 Sedan Bridge with twin Merc IO's and I use this boat in the St Lawrence River approx 4 months each year. The throttle and transmission shift controls are made by Quicksilver and are horrible. They tend to stick a lot making shifting difficult and often cause the engine to quit when shifting gears. This of course can be very scary when docking between two expensive boats!(especially if they are owned by lawyers). My mechanic has been unable to adjust the controls and has suggested that I purchase new controls and cables. I have heard that the electronic controls are really nice but I think they may be far too expensive for this boat. Can you make a recommendation that will not break the bank? I do want to replace the entire control system as they are far too old to salvage.
> Thanks!
>
> I am a consumer
> I'm contacting you because of a question Am I looking for a reply: yes
>
