I just replaced one of those last week on my 25. But I took it off a parts 18. I do not know what they are called. But If I did not have a spare one I was planning to make one out of a piece of metal. The early ones were plastic (bust easy) and the later ones are metal.

All problems should be so simple.

It is part number 304155, replaced by 329197, "pin, lever to throttle gear". $3.50 at your Evinrude or Johnson dealer.

which part broke. the rod with the ears, that goes up to the timing plate, or the "pin" that goes in the slot?

thanks much, I'm pretty sure just the "pin" broke. the lever going up to the plate is in good shape. thanks for all the help guys and gals, wouldn't enjoy this as much without people who have been here before.
