Anyone else having an issue with threads continuing to show that there are unread replies even though you've already read all of them? I have been having to use the "Mark This Forum Read" option under the Forum Tools menu. I am referring to the main page of forum sections where threads with unread replies are in boldface. This sounds like some sort of cookie issue, but I haven't changed any settings. I'm using Firefox 18.0.1 which came through around the time this issue cropped up, but I've had this issue periodically in the past with older versions of this browser.

It's behaving this way with this thread!
The "View First Unread" button at the top of threads is also not clearing.

Hmm. Behavior appears to be normal in IE 9.

Not sure why that would have happened, but glad clearing cookies fixed it!

The "View First Unread" button take me to the top of the last page of the thread but not down to the First Unread Posting.
It used to work consistently.

Hey Uncle Willie, it seems to be working fine for me. What browser are you using? You are talking about the "View First Unread" located at the top of this page correct?

Using IE8

No, it is one menu level up the from the actual post.

Example.....

Forum > Other > iboats Forum And Website Issues/

To the left of the Post Titles, there is a small light blue circle with what look like two down arrows in it.
If you hover over it, it displays "Go to first new post"

It take me to the top of the proper page but not to the actual post.

We are looking into UncleWillie.

For some reason it doesn't work on IE 8. I don't even have IE, but tried it on a co-workers PC and it did not take you to the last post. So I'll see what's causing it to not work in IE , it would be awesome if browsers played nice together!

Re: Threads with unread replies

Somewhat related, if this helps any....

After submitting a post it return to the top of the page and not the actual submitted post.

The 2am eMail links DO take you to the actual posts in the links.

The "View First Unread" button at the top of, and inside, of the thread, DO take you to the "First Unread".

We've figured the issue, just have not found a solution. It seems to work fine in the other browsers, just not IE. So that makes it trickier.
