I have owned a 2000 Maxum 1900SC cuddy since ~2010. Wehave enjoyed it ever sense. I actually prefered an open bow, but the price and condition at the time sold me. Now the Maxum is getting crowded as we have a kid and we have friends with kids.

I saw a Crownline 239DB forsale at a local dealer. While I don't think it is a pretty boat, it has a lot of functionality without having pontoons. It does have a trailer, 5.7 EFI, and a bravo outdrive. https://www.suttersmarina.com/boats...rownlinr-239db-w-57l-efi-merc-v8-io-trailer-1

It is $20k and I think I could get a bit of that back after I sell my boat. I do question about buying a 20yo boat, granted I do own a boat that old. Maintence and getting small repairs done seem to impact use more than cost. Anyone know if there is anything to watch out with this power plant or if there are any issues with Crownline of this era? The deck appears to be fiber glass with snapin carpet. I don't know if the stringers are incapsulated or not. I was thinking of waiting anither year or so with a little bigger budget for something might look a little prettier and be a little newer. Though they don't make things like they used to so maybe something older isn't a bad idea?

Canandiagua huh? Have em launch it and sea trial it on the lake. Visual inspection is going to tell you more than what reputation the manufacturer had when the boat was built 20 yrs ago. All comes down to care/maintenance.

I've not dealt with Sutters, mostly with Seager on my Four Winns.
