If you consider that there has been an average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq theatre of operations during the last 22 months, and a total of 3000 deaths, that gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000 soldiers.

The firearm death rate in Washington D.C. is 80.6 per 100,000 for the same period. That means that you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in the U.S. Capitol, which has some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation, than you are in Iraq.

Conclusion: The U.S. should pull out of Washington, D.C.

...but as usual, the Libs never take into account the larger picture, especially if it butts heads with their agenda. They like to focus down as narrow as is necessary to reinforce their point. This is not the only arena that they commonly do this.

I do have to admit I did not check the math on this, I just used fuzzy math.8)

I thought that the "US" never occupied Washington DC ;)

They should have overthrown Marion Barry when they had the chance. That clown was a character right out of Liberia, et al! He fit right in with the Liberal's idea of diversity.

Ok Boomyal lets go with the figures that you have provided, three thousand American deaths, think that I will provide a few numbers myself. 655,000 Iraqis or more than 500 people a day since the U.S.-led invasion, a new study reports. Now we can do some dividing and see how much collateral damage is acceptable to Boomyal for Washington DC. Wow that figures out to be 218 Iraqis for every American death.:%

No, the left recognizes collateral damage as innocent victims. How many of the half-million or more dead Iraqis were combatants, and how many were civilians? I'd like to see those figures. :(

Your math must have been very fuzzy! For the life of me I can't figured out how you came up with the 60 per 100,000. That would mean even with 200,000 soldiers there would only be 120 deaths, only 4 percents of the total.

That's why they call it war - people DIE. It's not our fault the enemy uses cowardly tactics like hiding behind civilians (& dressing like them so we can't tell them apart anyway). I'd say anyone would be hard-pressed to differentiate in the body count.

Hey Willy, This is the same thing that has been happenin' since the seventh century. The followers o' the Religion o' Peace have allways killed each other more then they have killed non believers, (n' they have killed lots o' non believers). That's why it's called the Religion o' Peace! They jus' have the MSM usin' the figgures ta demoralize us good hearted Americans so we can find a way ta loose!! :$:%JR

Well I sure hope the higher rate is correct. For one, our troops didn't kill them, those couragous "freedom fighers" (a little Murtha for you) killed them. But hey, fix the blame not the problem. Oh yea, running away will solve this just like it did in Cambodia. Thanks war hero John........... :}

Secondly, at this rate we WILL win the war as this has to be higher than the birth rate.
