Re: This Weekends Striper Catch

In about 55 ft. We were marking a ton of bait in about 35 feet of water but couldn't get them to bite, not on the troll or jigging. So we went out to about 55 feet and went on the troll, we had about four hits that occurred while we were making our turns and we missed the strike. We got the one to commit about an hour before we were going to wrap it up for the day.

Reports are coming in that the bite might be turning off in the upper Delaware Bay; maybe there on their way north and we're starting to see the big ones out in front. Stay tuned!

NICE! I will be out around Sandy Hook/Raritan Bay this weekend ;) I hope the bite is still on since this will be the first time the boat is hitting the water since the resto :D

Nice:) I miss fishing for stripers, haven't chased them since I left virginia and came back to florida. I love the Gulfof Mexico, but the chesepeke Bay hold allot of fond memories for me.

Rickryder...maybe we could hook up some time, I'm always looking for a fishing bud. I can always run the deck, until we find the fish of course:D

Congrats! :) Nice fish.

We have big fish starting to arrive. The heavy easterly weather is keeping us in port.

Re: This Weekends Striper Catch

Glad I don't look at it this way all the time because it could be painful after some of the trips:facepalm: But since you asked... on this trip it comes out to about $ 3.26 per pound for Stripped Bass Dinner:)

I'm counting my quarters for the next several weekends because some of the best surf fishing of the spring season is hitting the Jersey Shore right about now.
