My guess is he cut and raised the motor(s) on the way in

I actually used to do that with one of our boats. It was small and I had the trailer landing timed right down ... dad didn't know whether to kill me, or invite friends to watch.

... I've grown out of that since.

Yeah, looks like the nose drops about 5 or 10 feet beyond the side guides. It appears he needed the speed to maintain headway. I thought the hook and winch guys seemed pretty confident. Clearly not the firt time they've done that.

Those are beach launches/ retrievals in Alaska. may be to beat a incomming swell. They use big tire earth mover tractors in Anchor Point,AK

Great loading. I guess it's not their first day in doing that. I've seen so many people take forever to load up.
