third battery

i want to add a deepcycle battery to my current system i have a cranking and a cranking/deep cycle now it has a selector switch off/1/all/2 and an onboard charger from ground power. first of all how do i wire it in do i need an isolator for charging if so what type i plan on only running luxury accessories on it so i can always get home second the battery switch can it be changed while running i was told no thanx

You can wire 2 together, neg to neg and pos to pos. you should match these batteries( same size. amp hours, and cranking amps).Most people use these (2 battery bank) for house power. The other would be used for engine only. you can still use the same switch you have. Is your charger a 2 bank charger? If so you should be able get away with only buying 2 battery cables, and a box to mount your new battery in.<br /><br /> Jim
