I was just wondering what it would be worth.
Most of you guys know all the time and money i put into this boat.
I'm at the point that its not getting used as much as i like so i was thinking of selling it and getting a bass boat next year.

Everything on the motor has been replaced, starter, coils, wires, gaskets, carb and fuel pumps rebuilt..etc,etc...
New SS Stiletto prop.
Lower unit was rebuilt when i bought it last year...never a sign of water in it.
Even compression on all 6
New transom, new Humminbird,New VHF,New fuel gauge and sender,New battery thats been used 1 time...the list is endless..
The trailer has new lights and new tires..

I figure i have around 4k total in it and was wondering if i could recover that.

Suggestions guys?

Gary the only was to tell is try it. you might remove some accessories, vhf, and fish finder. being in NC, not many offshore fisherman, some will see it as a cruising boat, vs fishing. so why not keep the new stuff.

i was amazed when i sold 3 boats in 10 days, to buy the toon.

Re: Thinking of selling the ChrisCraft

I thought about getting a broker at the coast to list it. I'm sure it would sell better down there. But they get their cut of the sale..

I'm thinking it over but i may wait until spring. I would like to get 4500 for it but with the economy the way it is...who knows.

Then i got to worry about stuff like CB is going thru in the sold a boat thread..

I was thinking the same thing. Boy, I wish I could get some of the great deals I've seen you folks here on iboats offer down in the US. We'd pay a good chunk more for a nice boat like that up here in Canada, especially with all the maintenance and goodies on her.

I think TD is right, pull a few extras and put it for sale, if it doesn't move, at least you know and can hang on to it until spring when the market improves for sellers.

If I was in the market for that type of boat I would pay you $5k in a heartbeat for it. You've done an amazing job on it. Has it just not turned out to be the type of boat you need?

Its a little bigger than what i need.It would be great if i lived near the coast.
I tow 70 miles each way to the lake and the gas is killing me.
The boat has a 80+ gallon tank then gas for the truck.
I usually go alone or with one person so a smaller open bow would be ideal.

Kind of miss my StarCraft 18 footer. It was a OMC 4.3 but ran perfect.
It was immaculate with all new interior and the engine was in great shape.
I don't miss the winterizing though.
