I'm looking at a 1972 Alumacraft 16 foot Deep V Boat, complete with a 1985 Mercury 25 HP short shaft outboard and a tilt/roller trailer. According to Alumacraft, this is model YF 16 2270.
Asking price is 1,500. Feedback?

Hi Treslados,

Do you have a picture of the rig to share with us?
It depends what part of the country you are in, whether or not that's a good price....
I can tell you one thing though....
You can't go wrong with an alumacraft.
I just bought a 1959 Alumacraft model FDR
and that boat is built for the long haul.

Check the keel for damage ( rock hits etc ) and MAKE SURE the motor is is good running condition.

I'd offer $1,000 and see what happens Bro.
( sure would be nice to have the extra $500 to buy boat goodies with 8) )

Negotiation is the spice that flavors the soup we call life, and it can be a tastey dish if prepared properly. 8)
