Think water entered gas tank ?

engine gas filter & external clear cannister new 2 hrs run time ,
splashed last week , ran fine , after adjusting air flow sensor

Yesterday - splashed ,
stalled , started , stalled , over and over , would not idle , little more gas too stop stalling , short spin , could not open up , ran like crap ,
Here in Fl tons of rain,
WATER MIXED ?
today I will get out and check ,
Plan ,
Draining clear cannister , engine filter - since they are brand new wipe clean and reinstall ?
EXTERNAL FUEL TANK - seeing how it runs
yamaha and boat new too me , getting used too it ,
not sure how water entered fuel tank , ( if thats the case ) will be putting EYE SPY WIH MY EYE LITTLE EYE GLASSES ON ,
any other advice I should be checking for

Had a similar situation a few years back.

Long story, turned out to be a combination of excess rain, a recessed vent cap and bad luck.

Known problem with fuel fill. OEM sent me updated part for free. No problems since

Draining clear cannister , engine filter - since they are brand new wipe clean and reinstall ?

What clear canister?
You do not reuse coalescing fuel filters. You replace.

Suggest going to a Racor style filter with a drain on the bottom. No guessing if you have water
