I have a Sea Ray 220DA Sundancer and the engine will be pulled out of the boat soon for a Y-Pipe replacement. My mechanic has agreed to let me take the boat home for a few days to clean out the bilge. Is there anything else that is worth doing while the engine is out?

Any insight is greatly appreciated

Put in a new bilge pump while its easy to access, tidy up or replace any funky wiring with marine grade wiring and connectors.

I would play some golf, since the boat will be laid up for a while . . . but that's probably not what you meant. :)

It is a good time to clean the bilge, inspect for water retention (or rot) in the stringers, bulkhead and transom. If all is good (might not be) then re-paint the bilge.
