thimking of buying new honda 130hp any opinions?

im thinking of buying a new honda 130hp for my 22ft starcraft islander and i was wondering if anyone had any opinions on this motor. was also looking at a yamaha but they only make a 115hp which i think is not enough power for my boat and they make a 200hp which is too much power and out of my price range i like johnsons and evinrudes but they are a little pricey any input would be greatly appreciated thanks.

The Honda BF130 is a fine engine, Northend. It has an excellent reputation and many happy owners.<br /><br />You confuse me a little. You mention that Johnson and Evinrude are a bit pricey. Where did you get that information?<br /><br />The Johnson 140 4 stroke is about 100 pounds lighter, 10 hp more powerful and a few thousand bux less expensive than the Honda. It is also a fine engine and very popular.<br /><br />I haven't compared prices on the JohnnyRude 2 strokes, but I would expect them to also be less than the Honda.<br /><br />Good luck.
