How often should they be changed, how difficult and what should I be looking at (partwise) for replacements?

Personally me, I change mine with my water pump, ABOUT (depending on hours) every 2 to 3 years. Just keeps me honest plus I like to flush my water line while the lower unit is off to the t stat housing. May as well change them while Im in there.

You will need 2 plugs, part #0435491
2 o rings part #0331188
the spring is part #0338174, but dont always need to change that

Thanks. Think I have seen "Kits" which supply all the pieces, so may go with one of those (just need correct one).
