Does the thermostate on the 120Force go in with the spring down in, towards the engine or does the spring face up, into the cover housing? Thank you for any help.

i could very well be wrong.i think it is thermostat,spring over long end of stat, then cover.

I'm not sure what this means as the spring COMES with the Stat, and by the way, it (the spring) faces the motor. The spring is in the hot water in the motor so it heats up and opens.

You did fine...we all start somewhere, and what we mean is sometimes hard to explain. Post all you want, as you and the rest of us might just learn MORE by tossing out some info. Again, don't be afraid to post anything you think might help the situation!
