Thermostat temp

I need a new thermostat for my 1988 Nissan 18HP. Their are different temperatures for the motor. Will a 143 degree thermostat work?

Why don't you order a original Tohatsu 18 HP thermo code : 350010301 costs around $ 30-35, should order too a thermo gasket code : 346010320 around $ 1.70-2.00. Be aware that all thermos are not same size...

There is ONE thermostat for that motor. There are NOT different temperature stats for it. BTW, 143F is a bit cool.

Always specify precise model/serial for the Tohatsu/Nissan motors; year of manufacture is irrelevant for servicing.

Consult your local dealer if this seems confusing.
