HI All

I just tried to remove the thermostat for an overheating 125 force ( 1988) after my recent repairs, and of course, even Superman could not move these with a screwdriver. My question is- how do you get them out? Vice grips? Rotary Hammer Drill? These bolts ( flat blade bolts?) would not budge. I am no fairy, but I wondered 2 things.

1: Is this the standard thermo install and
2: Should I run her without the thermo to 'flush' the engine of the **** and debris?

Cheers all- again.

I'm gonna file those *******ers flat and use a wrench. Then- replace them with a bolt. Thanks tater!

Often times you can use a square shaft screw driver. Put a wrench on the screw driver handle a give it a little twist.

Second choice, impact driver.
