Hi,

I need to remove and replace the corroded thermostat in my thermostat housing. The housing is cast with 909255 and I believe originally came off a Ford V8. I've read to remove the o-ring and pull the thermostat. It is very corroded but I'll see how it goes tomorrow. I will then sand blast the housing and repaint and replace the thermostat, which brings me to my important question. What thermostat part number fits my 909255 housing? I've had one source tell me 13430.

Thanks for any help

The motor is going in a 1976 General with a stringer mount electric shift out drive. I purchased the boat without a motor. I was told it had a ford 351 originally. I found a 66 ford 289 on craigslist and rebuilt it. I then purchased a intake manifold and injectors from a 90 ford 5.0. I will be installing a mega squirt ms2 Ecu controlling fuel and ignition and using fords edis for spark.
