Thermostat’s opening at 156 degrees.

Put thermostats in a pan of water to check temperature operation. Seem to open around 156 degrees according to thermometer. Might be opening sooner but hard to tell, but that’s I when I could see movement. Fully open around 175/180.
There clean freshwater parts.
Is this acceptable? I thought they opened at 143. Not a big deal to get new ones but if there kinda going to operate the same I’ll just put them back in.
New to me motor so just going through everything. ‘95 115hp 60 degree motor.

Inexpensive critical part...somewhat cheap. If it in question.....
