there is a gap of 1/2 inch between the floor and the live well

how do I seal the top of my live well it has a gap of 1/2 inch between it and the floor ? Suggestions

So, this live well is in the floor? Can you post a pic? Maybe backer rod?

can't take a picture new to this computer stuff. The boat is a 2002 tracker pro deep v .The live well is in the bow you open a lid in the floor to acess it.May be I could stuff weather stripping in the space .It's a pretty big gap to try and seal with 5200 3m sealant .Suggestions are appreciated
