So far I have only seen plywoody mention this impressive piece of work by Thomas Friedman. Are we the only two on this board who have read this new book of his so far, or are there more? If you did read it,can you share your thoughts about its message?

What is the name of the book? Can you post a link to Plywoody's thoughts on it? While I may not agree with PW's views, he is very intellegent.

Plywoody mentions this book in passing while reacting to a thread about Bill Gates and whether Bill has gone nuts with his immigration ideas.<br />The name of the book is:"The World Is Flat, a short history of the 21 century". It is written by Thomas Friedman, a columnist of "The New York Times".He is also a 3 time pulitzer prize winner.I had the honour of meeting him in Beirut when he was working as a reporter in the Beirut office of his paper in the middle of the Lebanese civil war and I was a soldier in one of the involved armies.
