Found this site for those of us who don't want to expel to much energy when we have to fish from the Bank. I bought this as a novelty but now find myself using this until I can get back to doing some real fishing on my boat. What will they think of next???????? This sounds like a good thing to try if you are fishing from a bank and want to get some distance on the bait. I recall something about a bait towing device. It was designed to tow a crankbait (or other artificial) in circles doing the work while you sat back and waited on the big one. So this is not all that "new" technology. Personally If I need a tow for my bait I will get one of those remote boats with a downrigger clip when I get my bait out I will give it a yank and then return the boat to run out another line.

An to think I just wasted 8 years of payments on a boat I could have just used that bobber and a lot of fishing line. I would probably would catch more fish with the $15 bobber, than I do now.<br /><br />Really though,<br />it is an interesting idea and the perfect example of good old fashioned ingenuity. <br /><br />I've been staring at bobbers for 30 years and the idea of a motrized one never occured to me.

Just think in Twenty tears when thay come up with a remote Bobber with a Nite light I'll be there. Thank you BobberWood for making it up by buying one. 495v has been stepping on me so bad now a fly won't even land on me. The way I look at it, if Crabby got one and Bobberwood gets one then I know I have moved into the upper class of fishing.<br /><br /> Won't buy that Bridge they are trying to sell though...........

I've seen people use remote control boats to bring their lines out near the **** where boats can't go.... extra servo to release the line once the boat gets out where they want it.<br /><br />note....use electric rc boat....

Here in New Mexico there are plenty of small mountain lakes that don't allow boats. Even though my boat is working just fine, when I hit those small lakes this bobber would be really nice to use!! I'm on my way to ordering one right now. My 3 year old could benefit greatly from it and so could I because I don't have to spend so much time casting the rod for him. Ya' got to have an open mind and think about what fishing is all about anyways--FUN!!! Besides, those fancy motorized boats are alot more expensive. I could even see using the motorized bobber from a boat. I can't wait until I get mine. MB

Hey, those of us that taken a chance and tried this go-bobber, how has it been working out for you? I anchored this past week in my boat, tried minnows,(for bass, catfish) but no luck(too hot in the day I think). Often times the bobber goes in circles even though I try hard to control it. Anyone have this same thing happen? I'd sure like to hear your ideas/opinions. MB

I think this thing was more of a novelity than anything else. I did catch one Pooter with it but like you say the conditions have to be perfect. What can I say I'm a sucker for new things. My grandson has a ball with in the pool. If you notice Bass Masters isn't bitting. The guy who made this item is making money because of people like me.<br /><br /> I'm sure BobberWood will have some suggestions though........

If its going in circles its because somethings not strait or its not balanced....I have to wait till i get some money before i get mine.<br /><br />You could try to super glue a small....i mean small...plastic weadge on the side oppisite the turning side.<br /><br />you might also be able to attach a tail....like on a kite...to the back of it.<br /><br />I wont be able to shady it till i get one.....<br /><br />Derwood.

Hey guys, I e-mailed the guy who makes the bobber and he suggested that I take off the rudder in order to make it go<br />straight. I'll keep working at it...it seems real promising and my 3 year old enjoys it as well as me MB

Hmmm ? perhaps by conjoining gobobber with a .357 mag cartridge one could create the ultimate stealth weapon ? the gotorpedo ? to assault the inconsiderate go-fast bass anglers and other general pains in the butt. But how would you rig the periscope for the little guy (you know, the cousin of the guy who switches on the light in the fridge) so he could steer the gotorpedo? Do you think after a few ?unprovoked attacks? bass boaters and others might take up zigzag convoy tactics? If that?s all it accomplished it would at least be interesting!<br /><br />tcube
