This is timeless. So I was asked to babysit late in the day. I warned the sis it was going to rain and parks and boating are out of the picture. This is the outcome of our wonderful technology advances; 6yr old playing Minecraft on my Wifi, 4yr old playing Mario on the Nintendo DS, and my lovely lady most-likely playing solitaire. Don't ask me why or how but she can play it for LITERALLY HOURS!

lol.....thats all good on a rainy day! but when the kids are older, and cant turn a device on without a remote it all becomes an issue!. heres a good...or bad example. stepson goes to university ...3 hr drive away. this past winter the battery went dead in his car, said he couldnt get in to open the hood to get a boost. i thought the door locks were frozen, so i made the drive...guess what! had no clue that you could use the key to open the doors! thought the remote was the only way! i worry about the next generation(s) of the "technology" gifted kids. lol

LMAO...My older sister had a similar experience...I was riding with her in an old Dodge Neon with power locks. Well the fuse blew and you should have seen the look on her face...she thought she was locked in the car, so I popped the lock up and opened my door

Gotta be smarter than the power locks :) I had the nephew up in the engine helping me crank on some bolts...but he got mad at me after he got scratched on his tummy and blamed it on me LOL....he must have my blood.

You reminded of a real-world incident, and I think it involved BMW. Some genius designed a car with door locks that had no manual 'override' capability, though I don't remember the details. When a problem like your sister's occurred, a few people were in fact locked inside their cars. They fixed that pretty danged quick as I recall....
