I watched him come in at 3:35 today.

That is one magnificent aircraft!

May not be big news to some, but our little hole-in-the-wall town doesn't see things like this very often. I took a few pictures.

I work right next to the airport, so I was able to see it land. Funny thing is... I didn't see near the support aircraft as there was the first time he was here. We could hear the fighters, but didn't see them. There wasn't any gunships like the first time either.

I would like to have gone to his rally, but there was no way I could get through that many people. It pretty much closed down Central Point Oregon (where he is tonight)

H.

Hey Homerr...

I do work at an airport in Kansas City. I too love it when he flys in. Normally the secret service and a C-130 comes in a day prior to his arrival. I have total security and airfield clearance, but on a 10 mile final, no body had better move a muscle. Secret service flys around in a helicopter, and even traffic coming and going into the airport stops.

Your pretty lucky to get pics. Even we cannot take pictures unless you are pre-approved by the secret service. I have though toured the 747 he flys on. Again, I had to be approved in advance!
It's a really graceful plane when it lands being so big.

Awesome... no matter how many times I see it!

I watched him come into Calgary for the G8
Summit in Kananaskis Country.
Your right Stumpys it is awesome.
During the Summit there were missile defense
systems set up along the highway. And It was a
very big deal just trying to trailer my boat to
the mountains, as every vehicle passing was
virtually escorted within 40 km's of the site.

Yep, I still think it is awesome every time. Bush is such a friendly person when he comes off the plane too. Not like that ***hole Clinton was!

Cheney comes in on a Boeing 707, and he does not get as much special treatment as Bush. At least we are allowed to sit on the taxiways while he flys in.

I saw the plane once when Clinton Landed in Panama City, Florida. He had seven Air Force fighter jets flying in a close formation around the plane. I would have KILLED for a camera!!

I missed it when it came to Oshkosh yesterday. At least I assume it came to Oshkosh. It's a small airport and they have landed 747s there, but I'm sure it's a test of limits. I wouldn't be suprised if he transferred to a chartered plane from a larger airport like in Milwaukee. He was supposed to land at 5:05 which would get me driving by around then right after work. But I turned on the radio and he was already speechifying. Musta got there alot earlier that 5:05. Oh well.
