FYI, 84-879978T1 has superseded to 84-879978T11, and 84-879978A1 comes up as customer cannot buy from mercruiser.:facepalm: But googling the numbers seems to be the length for the difference. Also from what I can tell part number 84-879978A1 seems to come in a kit vs ordering one by itself.

Not much info found with this number 84-879978A1 except like said,
it appears it's supposed to come in a kit, not individually.
