got everything swapped and bolted on to my 1982 merc 260 reman and dropped back into the boat.. started it up yesterday.. it RUNS!!!
had a leak at my therm housing so didnt mess around with it too long..
need to get the idle settings right.. and timing right.. but hoping for the best.. had vacuum gauge connected to intake.. it was there from testing the old block it read around 15 and absolutely dead steady...
i cant even count the number of times i dropped a bolt, washer, socket, screwdriver, or whatever else down in that bilge. enough to drive a man crazy..
anyway.. couldnt have even attempted to drop that thing without everything i have learned on this board.. so thanks to everyone who contributes on here..
