Okay guys i have a 1996 mercruiser 3.0 lx alpha one. right now it has a 19 pitch (not sure of diameter but i wanna say 14.25") and at WOT im at about 4900-5000 rpms at about 40-44 mph. im obviously overreving. my question is, what pitch should i move to? what diameter? and 3 blade or 4 blade? i do watersports occasionally (single person on wakeboard) and would like to have the hole shot for that of course but dont want to sacrifice top speed for when im not towing..is it worth double the money for the SS props? thx in advance

We need more refined numbers,Try to pick the most reasonable rpm, Speed by gps.44 at 5000 is only 2% slip.
Highly unlikely.Slip is typically low double digits 10-12%.What boat are we running?
