Big props to Rodbolt for his diagnosis of my stuck carb float!

And also to Nick on the Bad Habit, MajBach, and a couple others for earlier help on the same problem....

Y'all are like the friendly motorhead neighbor I've never had...

Thanks to Majbach for taking the time to look at his motor and then my pix. He solved my problem and welcomed me as a new member. I come from a sailing background where everyone helps out a newbie.....glad to see the powerboat community follows the same tradition.

Re: Thanks for the help.

i just purchased a used 7.5 motor s/n B75 2012487
I have a few quest. i hope you can answer. 1. what yr model is this motor. 2. I dont have a owners manual for it. 2. I drained all the oils from underneath the cowl to the lower unit. Was wondering what type oil is required from dip stick area to the oil in the lower unit. how much can i expect to pour in the dip stick area. Lower unit i know. I would appreciate you answer.

Thank you to upinsmoke for the suggestion to get rid of the wing nuts on the battery and replace wiht stainless steel nuts. It remedied the problem.
