First off, I would like to thank everyone here, although you do not know it, many of you have helped me greatly in the last month or so in my research for buying a new boat and how to own a new boat. The logistics of trailing seems daunting, but many a thread here as given me valuable information.

I was spoiled growing up in the fact that our boat was dry stacked and one phone call and the boat was in the water when we arrived. So, I have boated, but never owned. I grew up boating on the St. Croix River out of Stillwater, MN in case anyone wants to reminisce.

Anyway, my wife wants to name the boat and I am not the creative type. The first three letters of my last name begin with "Egg" so I would like to incorporate that somehow, i.e, "Sunny Side Up" or "Over Easy" or even "Let Go Of My Eggo". I have hear them all growing up.....I think.

Help wanted please....if you are as bored as I am. I bought a 2004 Glastron GX-205, 5.0 Mercruiser V8 220hp. Hopefully I figured out how to put the picture below my name.

Look out Arizona lakes, there is another new owner on the water.

backing the trailer, put you hand at the bottom of the steering wheel, move you hand in the direction you want the trailer to go. how about ' egg money.' and a graphic of an egg with a $ sign thru it. or a hatching egg, with $ signs floating out of it.

Just a Thought,..........

I won't Name a boat till it's Hit the Water,.......

Some of My boats have taken Hours upon Hours of boating before the boat's Personality came thru,+ it's Name became Obvious to me,....
Other boats, 1 in particular for Me anyways, find they're Name almost Instantly,....

In Other Words,.......
Run the boat,.... See what It's personality is,.... Then Name it.......

Re: Thanks and need a name

Ooh, these are getting good, and I do appreciate all the suggestions. I will take to heart the one about waiting until she hits the water.

Although the person that came up with Eggstacy is the front runner as my wife's name just happens to be...Stacey, which I did not even include in my original post.

So, my maiden voyage will be Monday, so we can practice in relative peace from a busy weekend. I wanted the first day to be a weekday so my patience wouldn't be tested as much. I get apprehensive that I will hold other boaters up, but I think if we get our routine down on Monday my confidence for the busy weekends ahead will be enough not to stress myself out.

Again, thanks to everyone for the help and advice, I've been poking around here for a few months. This site is great and seems to have a better mix of inland and sea-going representation than some of the others I have visited.
