I want to thank those that responded to my last few posts regarding a '64 75hp evinrude and a '69 85hp johnson. I thought I was going to replace the evinrude with the johnson.. but I got the old evinrude running now, and I'm happy! It just has normal points, so after I read a car book about points and educated myself I fixed the ignition problem.. bad wire from points to coil.. <br /><br />To get it fired up I had to put the throttle to wide-open while cranking and VROOOM there it went. <br /><br />now, time to start reading about the impeller and trying to replace it.. <br /><br />Mark
