After reading everything I could on adjusting the idle mixture on my 1976 Johnson 55 hp I took her to the lake and followed the instructions- Seat gently, out 1 1/2, and basically wiggle 1/8 until smooth. After getting everything dialed in we went for a short spin. Much better!!! It idles nicely and doesn't die on dock approach anymore which makes me (and everyone at the dock feel much better I am sure). Also picked up almost 2 more Kts at WOT as well, bu that may have been helped by the new fuel tank, lines and fuel pump and the decarb job. (gotta love Deep Creep) oh and the new coils. Thanks for the help and advice!!!!!
