texas peir fishing

anybody know what time of year would be the best for planning a fishing trip to texas.<br />I'll be peir fishing most of the time but will probably go out on the bay boats a few times.

I would suggest you leave for the pier now lately not to good by the time you get there the fishing should change weve had rainy and storms go for it offshore should be good also

If I was traveling to Texas to pier fish I would wait for the drum run. Sorry I don't know when that is, but I think it is during the winter months. If traveling to Port Aransas the Jetties are a great place to pick up some Reds and Trout. Wait til October when it is a little cooler, unless you want to baist in the sun.

Tuna and Dolphin in September, look at www.wahoocharters.com look at species, he has a nice calendar of species and times. Great site.<br /><br />dg
