How many poles can you have in the water?

Is there a limit? I have read the regulation book from front to back and I can't seem to find the answer anywhere.

there's a limit to the total number of hooks you can have out on all your trotlines & juglines & whatever other devices (its either 50 or 100, can't remember which), but you can put out all the poles you can handle!

Thats good to know. Thank you.

I have been sitting on the lake at night with 4 poles in the water and throwing in a 5th when the reds start to run.

Yup, Calaveras.

When they are running they will eat anything you throw at them. When they aren't, shad, talapia, or shrimp.

I caught two last week. One on a 4" rubber storm
(26 inches 8lbs) and the other one was on a chatterbait (37 inches and 19 pounds).

Actually going out tonight after I get some sleep. Probably from about 4pm till noon the next day.8)
