Texas Aggies launching boat, truck and trailer!! Look on the boat ramp at the guy all bent over, must have been his boat. DID YALL NOTICE THE TEXAS A&M STICKER ON THE BACK WINDOW OF HIS TRUCK.
Not a good start to his day.

Seeing how the boat is still securely hooked to the trailer and the trailer is still hooked to the truck, I am going with the vehicle insurance.

But I tell ya, that is NOT a claim I ever want to make.

I feel bad for that guy. Just goes to show you, anything can happen at any time. A nice day planned out on the water ends up with heartache.

Seems like all you need to do is disconnect the trailer from the truck and drive the boat back to the landing with the trailer still attached. truck is toast though.

It was at Lake Ray Hubbard. The guy launching the boat let a stranger at the boat ramp back it down for him and they backed it down to far and then ran off.

Holy...crap.

I might shoot someone if they did that.
But I would also be quicker to give someone a rope and ask them to hold it while I back down, rather than let them hop in my car.

That is lake Austin. There is another ramp to the right of that one and both are VERY SLICK. The other ramp is less steep and I have seen 2wd trucks sit there and spin all day trying to retrieve empty trailers. Just owning the boat is reason enough for all of my tow vehicles to be 4wd.

Yes I am thinking this is lake austin too, off of lake austin blvd past hula hut, up by the dam. If it's not then it looks just like it. Those ramps go in the water then hit an insanely deep angle of degradation. Probably for all the big boats.

It sort of looks like the boat is still connected at front and keeping the truck from sinking all the way. lol.
