My gauge reading fluctuates but the stream of water exiting the engine appears fine. Any suggestions on how to trouble shoot this?

Re: Testing Water Pressure Gauge

Foxden, remove your cowl, and there should be a T with three tubes running off of it. One goes to the guage, one into the engine block and one to the pisser. Pull the hose off the guage and the other end off th T then blow it out with compressed air-blow towards the guage, then reconnect and pull the end of the tube that goes into the block off of the T, blow in to the block, then with the tube reconnected to the guage pull that end off of th T and blow air up to the guage and have someone tell you what it reads.
