Early this spring, I took the family out to cruise around the area lake. My folks have a small dock we used. My 10 year old daughter watched and learned from us old farts. When we pulled up to the dock, grab a rail and pull the boat up. I came in at a bad angle and the wind was pushing us away from the dock. She grabed the rail from the bow and tried to pull us in. I watched helplessly as she was slowly pulled out of the boat until she plopped in the water. She was very cold, but uninjured. I came around and docked perfectly the next time. That is the last time she has tried to pull the boat up!

I'm glad that she wasn't injured. Once you found out that she was unharmed, that had to be something to laugh about.... well, maybe later once she thawed out.

Pictures tells a thousand words. And you can all laugh about it later when she grows up. It sure would put a smile on her face. :D
