I have a 1996 mercury 4 cylinder 2 stroke, that I know has a bad rect/regulator. I know its bad cause its been hot and epoxy started to melt a little. My question is how do you check the stator to see if its bad as well. Dont want to fry another rect/reg. Ive replaced the battery with a new one and want to test stator so I can replace it if necessary.<br /><br />Thanks
