Testing Gauges and Sensers

Anyway to test the sensers and Gauges<br />Last time out Amp meter not working<br />Water temp not working<br />Tach not working<br />Gas not working<br /><br />Gauges are 40 years old i would just like a Quick way to test each one to find out whats wrong.<br /><br />Thanks

If you have a Mercruiser, they have all the information in their service manuals.

So far i havn't been able to find the Manuals for this boat yet, well maybe i found the set on eBay

So far you haven't even said if it's a Mercruiser or not. BUT, if it is, here is where you can get a manual. You want #1<br /><br /> Merc Manuals

If this is all on the same boat, I would venture to guess that the gauges are not getting power (either no positive or missing ground). Besides the signal wire from the individual senders, all of these gauges need power from the key switch.

Sorry Don, yes it is a Mercruiser<br />i will have this running today, i'm going to pull the front panel and test everything
