Hi, I am new to this forum and am looking forward to learning all I can and making new friends.
My question is this: I have about 20 outbards that I am restoring right now but it is winter and I am trying to figure out how to run my motors in a tank but can't afford to keep my shop heated all the time.
I am thinking of just putting anti-freeze in the water so it won't freeze. Will this hurt any of the seals or impellers?
Thanks in advance
Joe

Re: test tank

I wouldn't use auto antifreeze but RV antifreeze would probably be ok. Why heat the entire shop just to keep the water from freezing. Go to a farm store and buy a stock tank heater. Just remove the heater when you use the tank.
