temperature sensor

Ok I have a new litle problem. I barely touched the temperature sensor wire to tighten it and the screw just fell off. My question is will engine start without it? Next question is has anyone bought one and about how much am I in for?

What broke? just the screw, the threads in the head?<br />JB Weld should hold it in.<br /><br />What motor?

Sorry about the lack of info it is a 1984 85 Horse Force motor. Yes the whole screw came off. Now it is just a flat surface. I was going to try the JB Weld solution. Thanks for the post.
