temp guage not working.

Hello,
I have a 1994 wellcraft excel 26se with a volvo 572/sp. and i'm not getting any movement on guage after running on hose for approx 10 min after winter lay-up. water comming out is warm, not hot and risers are warm so i think i should be seeing something on guage.
when i first turn on key, guage pegs on bottom, is it the guage or the sending unit? how do i check this?
any advice would be appeciated!

Ayuh,.....

Ground out the wire attached to the Sender,... It Should Peg Hot.....
And,....
Make SURE the body of the Sender has a Good Ground.....

OK, when i gnd out the wire the guage pegged hot... should i change out the sending unit (it worked fine last year). or is there anything (other than gnd)
that would prevent it from working?

Your only running it on the hose try it in the water and then go from there.
You might not have enough water being pumped and have an air pocket.Jerry
