Temp Gauge Wire

Okay, I've removed the oil injection systems and warning modules and installed some temp gauges.

If the tan wire going to the warning horn under the instrument console is not being used for anything, is there any reason why I shouldn't be able to disconnect it from the engine and use it to go from the temp sender to the gauges? The wire is in pretty good shape, and I wouldn't have to pull new wire.

Mich, Can't see no reason not to use an existing wire.just document it in your manual so you don't forget what you did.

Re: Temp Gauge Wire

You are talking virtually no current for a temp gauge. Should be no problem at all. I used a spare for a relay to an electric fuel pump and it works fine.
