Tell tale pee port water stop spitting all of a sudden

I was trying to start the motor and forgot to connect the fuel hose to the motor and when it started, I hear a pop sound like an exhaust pop sound but just once and died. Plug back the fuel hose and it started back up, but now there is no water coming out of the exhaust and pee port anymore, any suggestion on what might of caused it. Water was spitting out great before that.

Probably a coincidence between the stall and water stream. When was the last time the impeller was changed?

I just bought it. It was fine until then.the guy said he had it for 2 years and haven't done much to it.

Yea, I'd replace the impeller, most of us do it every year depending on use.

I'll give it a shot with a new water pump kit with impeller and see if it'll pump any water. Anything else to look for if it's not because of the impeller?

The water pump is the only source for cooling. Hopefully the impeller didn't "handgrenade" on you, you'll looking for pieces throught the cooling system.

I took the lower unit out and the impeller is still in one piece but it is pretty wrinkle when I bend the flappers. Housing and metal plate look great and I'm planning to reuse them and just get a new impeller and housing gasket. Do you think that will be okay just to change the impeller and gasket or do I need housing and bottom metal plate too?

When I blow air compress throught the pee port hose from motor, theres alot of bubbles coming from the lower unit in water tank so I'm guessing air still have a passage way to the lower unit. Just stop spitting out water all of a sudden at the exhaust and pee port.

What would cause for not having water coming to the pee port and exhaust? Thermostat? Bad Impeller?

Got the new impeller on and works like a champ. Blow water off of the exhaust and pee port. Water is warm to touch, is that normal? I want to change out the thermostat too but I can't seem to find the location for the thermostat? Anyone?

Glad you got it fixed. The water output should be warmish to the touch, I wouldn't worry about the thermostat unless the output goes overly hot or cool.
