Thanks for the reply. I have read that section and that is where I saw that installing it in the head is an alternate location. I was wondering whether it was worth the extra effort and cost to install the tell-tale in the block versus the head. If it is a more reliable method of determining the cooling of the engine then I'll install in the block but if it really makes no difference I'll install in the head as it is easier and less costly.
