i'm not getting any water out of my tell-tale so i am replacing my impeller. the fins were curved and a couple cracked, but all in 1 piece. i figured i would check and make sure i dont have any blockages in the water tube and read an earlier post about feeding trimmer line down the tube. i can feed about 18 inches of line down the tube, starting from where the water exits and then it stops. is that normal or should it feed all the way down to where the water tube attaches to the water pump?

Re: tell-tale blockage

On the inline motors, the tell tale goes up at an angle to the block from the outlet. It then makes a 90* bend and then another 90* bend. I would not expect the trimmer string to make those bends easily. I do not thnik there is any benefit to working a string further thru the cooling passages anyway.
