teleflex trim guage working on a volvo 290 sp

i have a volvo 290 outdrive it is a 290 sp i belive . i baught some gauges from teleflex it says the trim guage works with mercruiser and volvo dp.i hesitated then looked up the dp in my service manual . it looked like my early 290 sp takes the same sending unit as the dp . is this gauge going to work. i need a person with technical knowladge to take a stab at it.can i use a dp sending unit on my sp maybee

i stand by what i said . . the guy actualy diddnt charge me for the 2 hours. i feel it was because he diddnt know he did the job corectly. and that is why i picked him to be my machinest . i also brought him another 2,000 dollars worth of work after that. and i suggest him to every one .and i will bring my work back to him . you sir on the other hand have provided alot of good advice to others and spent your time on this board helping make it happen for alot of people in a rsponsable maner so i will shut my trap . any way i guess ill talk to a tek line just thaught i would try this comunity.

after reading this post and the post from the other topic .... i do belive you are an instigator. although helpfull to others . you have controll issues . and if you didnt want to answer you could have just said nothing . but instead you had to start in .
