My dad let my brother and I take a 15' runabout out for a skiing outing when we were around 18 or 19. The only problem was that for someone to watch us ski, we only had my brothers girlfriend.<br />While I was skiing, I think my brother was spending too much time watching his girlfriend and not where he was headed. Trouble a brewing. <br />I let go of the rope about the time my brother saw the rip-rap(rocks). He spun the steering wheel and slid sideways into the bank. <br /><br />3 foot crack in the hull, and a lower unit almost sheared off the motor. Fortunately, No people injuries.<br /><br />That cost my dad some money.<br /><br />Fortunately, I don't have any sons to tell them no and the reasons why they can't take their girlfriend for a ride.<br /><br />A fond memory.<br /><br />Arlan
