That is tragic, I don't know about Texas or anywhere else for that matter but there are safe distance laws here in Missouri. Stuff like this happens way to often :-(

Some people just don't think when they are on the water. They don't realize how dangerous some actions can be. Whacking a person in the water with a very fast moving boat has to be a concern. I don't understand how people can be so ignorant.

Well according to this story, all concerns were lost to alcohol which is the biggest contributing factor to on water stupidity.

Two on board a personal watercraft, towing three on a raft...not only stupid risky, but also illegal. Requirement is the tow craft must be certified to carry all on board plus all in the water. "Friday night" ... didn't say what time but it's illegal to operate personal watercraft after sundown.

Driver of the boat bears full responsibility in my book...but if you've ever been on Lewisville, you would never I mean never let your kids out there on a jetski especially on a weekend.

Very sad! I almost hit a boat on the river that had no lights on with kidds in the boat in the middle of the river.People need to read the law before boating.
