Re: TD-20 5hp fuel mix

Howdy, Cbras. The original recommended mix for your TD-20 was 24:1, or 1 quart of oil to a six gallon tank.

The knob sticking up on top of the carb is the high speed mixture adjustment. The plunger behind it is a primer pump (there is no choke).

The low speed circuit is not in the carburetor, but on the side of the engine. It feeds a rotary valve that is seperate from the reed valve system. The low speed mixture is adjusted by the needle that sticks down at an angle from the rotary valve intake.

My manual shows the TD-20 with a recoil starter. Is yours missing or does it appear to have been built to use a wrap-rope?

Red sky at night. . .
JB :)
