I picked up a Clymer Manual for my '87 Suzuki DT115. The manual says to use Suzuki 2 Cycle oil or any approved TC-W2 two cycle oil. What is the difference between TC-W2 and TC-W3? I cannot find the TC-W2 oil any where. I also cannot find Suzuki Oil anywhere in my area. There is only one dealer, and since Suzuki went completely 4 Stroke, he does not carry the oil. I am planning on moving to Quick Silver. Does anyone see a problem with this? Should I run the Suzuki oil as low as possible and then empty and refill with Quick Silver to avoid mixing?

Thanks Guys.

TC-W2 was and is replaced by TC-W3.
There is no reason why you should have a problem
mixing the two.

What about mixing the Quick Silver and the Suzuki oil? Will this create a problem?

Do a search on these forums and you will find a lot of info to make up your own mind on oils. It is safe to mix. Bottom line if its TCW3 you should be good to go. There is a wide variation in price for different brands and bottle colors.

wow. I did not know suzuki dropped all two strokes. anyway tcw-2 has been replaced by tcw-3. I use the tech 2000 from wally world in my evinrude 120 with vro since I put a piston in it back in 1996. no problems. some disscusion about synthetic has been brought up. not very avalible in my area so I have not tried it.
good luck and keep posting :)
